½ lb Bread (any bread) (you can add old crackers to this too) buy fresh | |
1 teaspoon Baking Powder | |
¼ teaspoon Salt | |
½ cup Sugar (brown is best); you could use granulated. (Please note: I used one cup sugar, it works for me, if baking bread pudding to sell use 1/2 cup more.) | |
2 cups Cow's Milk | |
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract | |
¼ teaspoon Nutmeg (grounded) | |
½ teaspoon Cinnamon Powder - optional | |
¼ cup Raisins | |
1 tablespoon Butter | |
2 whole Eggs (beaten) |
Pudding Sauce Topping #1- optional
1 teaspoon Coffee | |
1 or more tablespoon Condensed Milk | |
6 tablespoons White rum (any rum is good) |

Directions

Preparation:
Grease a 8.5 x 4.5 loaf baking pan. Grease well!
Then lay two grease paper to it.
Use your hand to break up the bread into small pieces.
Combine everything together in a large bowl.
The bread, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, rum, raisins, and melted butter in a mixing bowl with the eggs and
Cow's milk. (blend all the wet ingredients together and then add it.)
Mark as complete

Mix Bather & Bake it:
After that pour the dough into the baking pan.
Preheat oven 10 minutes before baking at 350 degrees F.
Bake for 1 hour on the middle rack.
Test if it is baked by inserting a small knife in the middle. If it is clean, it ready. It will be wet a little.
Allow to cool before cutting.
Bread Pudding is served best when it is cool.
Store in the fridge after 12 hours.
