2 tablespoons Mixed Spice or Allspices | |
1 teaspoon Nutmeg (grounded) | |
2 teaspoons Cinnamon Powder | |
1 cup Red Wine (Sherry) | |
2 cups Raisins | |
1 cup Mixed Peel Fruits | |
1 cup Cherries (diced, or whole) |
GAZING:
2 tablespoons Butter (melted) | |
1 tablespoon Honey |

Directions

Preparation:
First, soak raisins, mixed peel, and the diced cherries in any red wine or sherry at least overnight is best.
Add instant yeast with 1/4 cup sugar in the 2 cups of water until dissolved properly.
Cut 4 pieces greased papers the size of your baking pans. Greased your baking pan first, and then lay two greased papers inside each “5 x 12 inches” loaf-pans, put aside for later.
Second, sift dried ingredients, like flour, cinnamon powder, grated nutmeg, baking soda, baking powder, breadcrumbs, and mixed spices. Put aside for later.

Keep Prepping:
Third step is to combine the yeast water, molasses, honey, sugar, jelly, butter, browning, and sugar together in a pot over very low heat on your stove. Stir in dissolving ingredients.
Now, if using eggs whisk and add to liquid mixture, stir in properly.
Next, pour liquid mixture into flour mixture and then combined. Use a mixer or wooden spoon mix properly.
It is best to preheat your oven at least 8 minutes before baking, at 160 C or 320 degrees F.
After that, pour the bun batter half way in each baking pan.

Great Job Prepping:
Use paper towel, clean any dough on surface or the sides of baking-pans. It will burn first if you do not, as well the scent of burn while bun bakes.
Lift and dropped the baking pan with batter on a hard surface 8 times, to release the air bubbles.
It is optional to sprinkle fruit on top; nevertheless, decorate it.

Bake it; and then Glaze it:
Place baking-pan on the middle racks, keep oven closed within time.
Now, set timer for 55 minutes to an hour.
After cooling, score the sides removed Easter bun.
To glaze is melt 2 tablespoons butter mixed 1 tablespoon of honey in cooking pot or use microwave.
Use a foods’ brush to gaze the entire Easter Bun.
Serve with cheese. Enjoy!
Old Fashion Easter Bun without stout is nice with butter.
